My Outline:
I am currently working on a video concept that involves reviewing for the final. I will be attempting to make more than one video int he future in order to continue with the review. In this particular video I will be using a screencast to review some key literary terms used in poetry.
1. Quick flashes of school related pictures: apple, pencils, books, school bus, school, computer, desk, etc. with accompanying sound effect (car zooming).
2. The video wil then transition into a screencast of a Word Notebook document with the title "Final Review - Similes and Metaphors".
3. I will then explain that "This lesson will provide you with a brief overviews of similes and metaphors which are commonly used in writing. However, today we will review how these may be used in a poem. This will not only help you for the final, but also refresh your memory for the 9th grade."
4. I will then list the terms for this segment: simile and metaphor. I will also define them.
5. The screencast will capture the poem on Google Docs where I will highlight and make comments about the poem.
6. Then I will ask the students to try some on their own.
7. The video will end with the same introduction.
